Boss goes to Yankee 56 also!

I know there are a ton of these threads out right now but I wanted to show my first attempt and get some advice. Here is the team:

I got Yaz and Simmons 1/2 in waivers. Ott is still out there if I wanted to replace Simmons with him, but to me that is heresy. I'm sure my bullpen could use some help. I am also concerned I do not have enough OBP.

If you're concerned about OBP, Ott would be a great leadoff hitter in Yankee 56. I'd make the move for him over Simmons.

I'd also swap Bush for a Bowa/Crosetti type. Bush has W power and won't give you anything for your park.

Other than that I like your team.

For Y56 I suggest better lineup numbers vs LHs than RHs, here are yours:

OBP vs RH 0.398
SLG vs RH 0.461
OPS vs RH 0.859
HR Rate vs RH 3.9
BPHR vs RH 45

OBP vs LH 0.364
SLG vs LH 0.417
OPS vs LH 0.781
HR Rate vs LH 3.2
BPHR vs LH 39

Clearly you are susceptible (sp) to hard or Even LHs. You have 6 LHs and no platoons. Resist the death draw to Walling .... he always frustrates me! :D

Not much on the wire, but here are some ideas:

- Get Burns to platoon Cash vs LHs in pitcher parks.
- Get Lamp or Giusti, Baum can close, Bahnsen is a good value if he comes available
- Pickup a cheaper backup for May, he can play everyday
- Rolfe does not add a lot, suggest you try to trade him and Simmons for Eddie Mathews and pickup one of the plentiful LH killers in RF like Valentine
- Simmons over Ott if you cannot make that trade
- Whit is too one-sided, so either get a lousy RH (Maz is best) like Bernazard or Javier or try something else.
- Bush is fine as your leadoff guy.

Suggest caution on 3 LH SPs, make sure your division rivals have not loaded up with Mays and Ennis types. Mayer or Hughson would be preferable over Grove, especially if there are hitters parks in your division.

Best of luck, sschu
