Erskine Mayer
Hughson-like, can pitch anywhere, consistent, usually available.
I dislike posting stats/results before season end, but note Mayer at Dunn at game 159.

Contrast him and Seaver on this team ...... :?

I've started keeping a spreadsheet of all of my team's results. I was trying to figure out who the best pitcher was under $1M. No contest, it's Milt Shoffner. Some guys hovered around .500; most were under.
Shoffner, on 26 completed teams was 90-67 with 79 saves.
Back then, I never used Derringer. Today, he's a mainstay on most of my staffs. On 12 completed teams, he's 191-125 (.604).
Don't tell anybody.

And in my humble opinion the best all around ATG player in our community. :)

It's a fine line between [u:b6d7a24e76]great[/u:b6d7a24e76] and [u:b6d7a24e76]luck enhanced by a ton of teams...[/u:b6d7a24e76]
I still love Freddy Clarke! He's right there with Buck Weaver in my list of favorite cheapies.

I shudder to even give this one out ..... Chick Gandil on smallball teams is awesome.
