:?: Do I have enough offense, ableit smallball, to win with this team?
Any recommendations? Bench and Carter are still out there at catcher.
Gordon at 2nd. I'm hoping stellar defense, high OBP and great pitching will win games. Or should I get more power?
Thanks

You do need a good RBI guy. I would downgrade Ripken, who will struggle IMO and upgrade Wilson, while also downgrading Clines. He's too expensive to carry as a PH IMO. I would also consider making your best reliver balanced instead of Pina's 9R. Other than that, you have some nice Griffith players. If there are more than a few hitting parks in the league or more than one in your division, you will need another guy with some pop IMO.

okay I dropped Cochrane for Carter and picked up Frock for Tudor.
I like Clines for PH-L and PR, plus cover defense at all three OF - he's a cheap multitasker.
Is Chapman a good fill for Ripken if I upgrade Wilson?

I prefer Cochrane in Griffith. Clines and Terry are both overkill. Clines has negative clutch and that's not good for a pinch hitter. Give me Chick Stahl any day. I'm also not a Gardner guy. I prefer Jimmy Collins (look for Chalk as a backup). Jones is solid, but I'm not a Gwynn guy either. Corner OFs I like (and might be available) are McCosky, Keller, Stephenson, Valentine, and Furillo.
I think you should dump Meyer and Nelson, bring back Tudor, and add an RP. Hall's the best value, period, although unlikely to be available. Lown and Fosnow would be excellent, but Lown's the only guy I'd expect to see on the wire. Drabowsky is a good value and is typically available.
If you need a little cash, don't hesitate to dump Pfiester for another $10M+ SP (with the exception of Scott, hate the hold).
Good nucleus, good luck.

I like Snodgrass better than Gwynn.

You dropped Cochrane on a Griffith team??? I love Carter, but in Griffith, I love Cochrane more.
You don't really have a true pitching team because of your 3 studs and a dud approach. If you're gonna stick with that approach, you should drop Nelson and pickup another cheap 0 BP HR guy like Yerkes, Morehead, Phillips just in case you have back to back series in Hitters parks.
Either way, you're gonna need MORE relief pitching. Taylor, Shoffner & Pina ain't gonna get it done.
I would also dump Gwynn for a RHP killer if you can find one.

What about dropping Pfiester for Camnitz? Which will allow me to upgrade Meyer for Patterson.
Or maybe Pfiester for Rube Marquard? That will free up 4 mil to use for 4th * starter or better bullpen.

Frock and Roe are a fine number 4 combo. The teams I build consistently feature guys of that ilk sharing the number 4 hole, so I don't think it's imperative that you get another * starter. Go ahead and pick up Camnitz.
