I don't know if any of your local papers pick up this story from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about the oldest living major leaguer - Howdy Groskloss - who turns 100 tomorrow.

Sounds like quite a life - and quite a man.

Great story. Reminds me of growing up in Virginia in the late 50's. They trotted out the oldest living Civil War veteran a couple of times, till they all died. I think there was a thing in one of the Troy Soos "Mickey Rawlins" mysteries about Mickey being at the Hall of Fame as the oldest living MLB player (in the first book about Murder at Fenway Park).
