Here it is - http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/atg2/team/team_other.html?user_id=109312&stats=sim

Playing in Crosley - in another league - Lonborg is 19-7 and a Cy Young candidate - I did ditch Lefty Williams for Breechan (williams 0-2 with a 9+ era)
Did recently swap Yaz and Eck for Williams and Smith (Eck had a double digit era, Yaz was hitting .100 with 2 errors- yeah it was early)

meanwhile Campenella has been on the DL twice, and I got so fed up after a 2-7 start I let HAL set my lineups - despite benching Fox, Bowa, (starting Buford at 2b and Gallego as ss, Roenike at 3rd and bringing Garagiola to play lf - HAL goes 2-1 or I'd be much worse!

$100 leagues are much more sensitive to manage, especially pitching. I am not sure I like MnNally in such a league, or Lonborg for that matter. I don't like McGwire or Barfield in your stadium. Simmons hits anywhere and Teddy Ballgame is awesome as well. Brooks, although my favorite 3B of all time, has a lousy card in ATG.

What's the deal with McGwire and Judge?

Your rotation is not strong enough for a 100M league, unless you have a stud lineup. But the money's just too spread around. To have 11 guys over $1.8M in a no DH league means there's a ton of cash on the bench at all times. Think about these things:

- Do you want good D (Brooks) or good O (Buford) at 3b? (I prefer Buford, because you have great D at the other 3 infield spots)
- Do you want walks/HRs (McGwire) or average (Judge) at 1b? (I prefer Judge, cuz McGwire's value relies on BP HRs)
- Would you rather have Barfield or a platoon of ???/Roenicke in RF? (I'd prefer the platoon)

I think you need to drop the loser of those 3 questions immediately and upgrade positions. Normally I don't advocate such early waiver activity, but all that bench money will kill you. You could, for example, drop McGwire for a nickel 1b sub, Brooks for a nickel 3b defensive replacement, and Barfield for a righty killing RF. Now you have extra cash to upgrade. Upgrade 1 SP? Maybe upgrade 3b? That's up to you.

Listen to Trey! He knows of what he speaks. :)

When Roenicke has more ABs than Ted Williams, you shouldn't be asking why you are at .333. And a 2-7 start is no reason at all to let HAL set your lineups.

You have few enough good obp guys... no way can you afford to sit any of them. With guys like B. Robinson and Bowa in your lineup in a 100M league, you'd better balance it with high avg/obp up and down the lineup; you don't have it. Guys like McGwire and Barfield will not cut it in your park.

Your best relievers are horribly onesided... right handed hitters are going to kill you at the end of close games. Unless you have a VERY deep pen, HAL will not manage onesided relievers well.

Except for McNally, your starting pitchers aren't ideal for your park; they are more suited for a smaller park, with their small number of BP homers. You want guys more like Seaver.

in a 100 million league those starters are weak and probably 3 of the 4 will get killed and have losing records.

I was kinda hoping someone would say - let 'em ride for a while and get Campenella healthy - you'll catch up.

And I am not platooning Williams and Roenicke - Williams was acquired in a trade after game 12.

Starters
Campenella (Garagiola)
McGwire (L) Judge (R)
Fox (Gallego)
Buford (R) Robinson (L) and D-sub for Buford
Bowa (Gallego)
Williams (LF)
Simmons (cF)
Barfield (RF)
Roenicke (Backup for all three - and occassionaly in lineup against LH in RF
Pitching
Lonborg has done well for me in Crosley - McNally usually ends up about .500 a good value for a 4th - Johnson and Breechan have pitched well for me 2 out of three times I have used them
Bullpen is more onesided than I like but the guys I like and keep hearing about are all gone....

Bad -

I don't mind platoons, but the platoons you are using don't seem offensively efficient. Judge hits well against both, Brooks hits poorly against both. McGwire isn't real one-sided, and loses much of his pop in Crosley. We just think the excessive costs of the right side of those platoon could be put to better use upgrading other positions - maybe RF, and definitely SP. That's a good 80M rotation, but in a 100M league they will often be outmatched.

I would like this team a lot better if it was in the MFL.
