It makes so much sense to plug Clememte in RF because of the 1 and the arm but what other good options makes sense. Valentine, Sam Rice. Crious about others....

unless there are a lot of lefties in your division, i would avoid clemente and Valentine as your lineup already kills them. i am not sure how to check FA lists (maybe someone can help me here) but a RF i like who is usually available is gwynn if you dont mind his poor arm. He can be used at the top of the order or can also drive in a good amount of runs if you have speed ahead of him with his singles.

Valentine is great from both sides. he has much more power against liefties, but against righties his BA and OBP are usually much better..

In any case, there is no reason to avoid using Clemente for any reason, he will still hit at least .300 against righties as ewell.

One of the best values in the game.

I've been busy compiling my many teams' stats and can offer you this:

Clemente's averages vs. lefties
0.349 0.529 0.370

Clemente's averages vs. righties
0.302 0.431 0.330

worth the drop, I'd say. That's from 13 seasons.

Furillo always an option too. I've had Valentine underperform for me a few times in ATG 2--maybe that's just me (he was always great for me in ATG 1). But Clemente is the best choice for Griffith.

With your current roster, If they are available, (which I doubt), I'd go with Furrillo or Alou. They would offer better protectection for Mays than anyone else you have.
