It is my first time with a few of these players, but I still would have expected more offense.

Yaz, Chance, York, MAthews and Dickey have yet to do anything.

Even Mays should be hitting better I think. And what's with Willie's 5 errors through 39 games?

Despite Lefty Williams' horrid start, my pitching is pretty good for a Polo squad - 4.44 era, 1.38 whip. So, other than maybe swapping out Lefty soon, I know this team just needs HITTING :shock: :(

just my thought bill. you dont have enough taBle setters. i recently made the same mistake on my baker bowl team. you have plenty of pop but if the pop gets up against good pitching and you cant manufactor runs with base speed or table setters the team struggles. i had a baker bowl team finish season with a below 5 era and i was # 2 in the league with runs scored and yet finished last in division. 20 games under. and we have some of the same hitters. ill post link

I'm really down on Chance. Yes, he's decent on defense, and is a good fit for a smallball park, but I find him putting up .360 OBPs more often than not in 80M leagues. In a 100M league, he's a marginal leadoff hitter.

York is a mystery to me. His card is solid, but I find that he puts up those kind of numbers more than he should.

Yaz, Dickey, Mathews, York, Kuntz - they'll all get better. Question is - will Coveleski and John continue to overperform long enough to get those guys out of their slumps?

I'd try to get me a RF'er with some pop or OBP. Offer Dickey, Devore, Kuntz and see if you get any takers...If not, I'd drop Dickey, Fernandez, Devore & Kuntz for Selkirk & Crosetti. Selkirk will give you both and in Polo, Crosetti will give you more offense and still good D than fernandez will.
