First night of Semis last night, I lose game #1 by the score of 4-3 even though I outhit my opponent. Maybe it had something to do with the 4 times I had base runners caught stealing, including the 2 of them in the bottom of the 9th while trailing by 1 run ..........

What part of conservative does HAL not understand???

You should have put the setting on aggresive. Then HAL wouldn't have even attempted a steal in that case. Put it this way, if I had to out think the devil, I would come up with the meanest, vicous way he could ensnare me and do the opposite to avoid the trap.

Coach,
How were the individual cards set? Also, did any of these involve hit and runs, and if so, what was your manager setting there?
I try to be friends with HAL by setting everything on very conservative except actual baserunning. I think he's like most of us: happiest when he's doing as little as possible.
That's a bad beat no matter how it happened.

I missed seeing the box score link earlier; it appears to me that Cuyler had a jones for Series MVP or something. He was running like a madman. Bet you had him checked to steal aggressively.

I had Cuyler on Steal more, and he was out stealing home in a tie game, bottom of 9th, in game 162 I needed to win to make playoffs. :x
HAL must have a "run all day" option checked on some players

Yes, Randy, Cuyler (and Honus Wagner) are both set to steal more, but the team setting is conservative stealing.
The thing that strikes me as odd is that in the 4 game series thus far, they have 6 successful steals and 4 caught stealings and all 4 occured in ONE GAME. With 2 coming in the bottom of the 9th inning while trailing by 1 run. .........
