Which two would you take? Please help...

First off, I would only like suggestions on which two players to take. I don't want to be talked out of a bad decision. I'm already throwing caution to the wind along with all common sense and intelligence.

The choices are...

Hack Wilson/Babe Ruth or Mickey Mantle/Hank Aaron?

Defense aside my team has three goals. Offense, offense, and offense.

Their tentative supporting cast looks like this...

C - Parrish
1b - Foxx
2b - Hornsby
ss - Ripkin
3b - Bando
lf - Greenberg

And we call Fenway '67 our home.

I won't win half my games but the Cy Young winner probably won't want to face my team :)...

I've alloted 5 mil for my pitching and 3.5 for my pinch hitters.

Mantle/Aaron. You're going to light up the scoreboard no matter what, but you should maximize your defense when going extreme bomber.

If you are only concerned about offense, then I would say Hack & Babe.

Mick and Aaron, so it's less likely that a hard righty could slow you down.

This is what I ended up with... Although, I greatly wanted Mantle I figured Parrish would be a serious weak link for my team... Other than my pitching staff, bench players, and inablilty to get HAL on my side.

C - Campy
1B - Foxx
2B - Hornsby
3B - Bando
SS - Ripken
LF - Greenberg
CF - Hack Wilson
RF - Aaron

Just over 71 million spent in an 80 million league... Beautiful!

I'd throw hard right handed pitchers at you all day. You desperately need a couple LH bats in that lineup. Horatio Pina will become your bane unless you rectify things quick!

All right handed? Danger, Will Robinson!

Who are the left handed slugging outfielders still available? With that lineup, if you threw in a Stargell in place of Greenberg, he would have an absolute field day facing nothing but righties.
