Sorry about the boring post, but I haven't posted in so long had to see if it still worked.

Why boring? :?: It is one of a long line of great posts trying to make us think, based on the stats. I was just being a smart@$$, like usual.....It's just with your name, and your question, Elvis' song just popped into my head. So, tell us, who is the player?

No offense taken at all. raslavens has the guy. I know you can figure this out based on the information I have given you.

The best season was in the Astrodome where he was used in a platoon with Fred Clarke. With 248 at bats his average was .399; OBP;.422; and 11 walks.

Also have used him in a platoon with Lou Brock where he batted .363; OBP;370; and 3 walks with 278 at bats.

When used as a pinch-hitter, and sometimes replacement with injuries he has batted over .400 on 3 occasions.
