djmacb, when your 6.5M first baseman (Powell .254 average) is your lowest-hitting regular position player, you know your offense isn't strong enough... I think you're fortunate to be 5 games over .500 at Yankee Stadium '56, in my opinion.

wjanssen, you're right. I'm very unhappy with Powell. Any idea how I can motivate him ??? I haven't found the "Take steroids" option on the Computer Manager

If I recall correctly, Powell was part of the "Miller Lite" commercial gang, perhaps some television appearances would be more motivating to Mr. Boog than the yet-unfound steroids. Seems like every 1B I get in these leagues underperforms, it is frustrating to get underperformance out of such a good offensive position... likely why my teams are struggling near/below the .500 mark!
