2011 Barnstormers Semi-Finals League #1

the official tournament of the All-Time Greats VI player set

Macnole: 1 - petro was not the "biatcher" - that would be me. 2 - it was the "turn guys" where we got stuck most often. ......but it's all good. Just the heat of the draft :) . However, my instinct was right .... Too many small ball teams - good ones too - so my gut tells me I'm DOA.

pacoboy--I wasn't trying to badger Petro, just replying as to my pathetic proxiness.

You guys all were owed an apology from me on that one. Mea culpa, no excuses. You were entitled to biatch.

Yeah a lot of smallish ball going on. Except I've never done this high a % of pitching on a smallball team. I usually look at it from a value perspective and figure I can't afford to have all that salary sitting in the bullpen/dugout when I have small ball hitters. Should be fun to see how it all goes. When I'm 10-25 I may think differently, but what the hell. It's the semis man.

Prosit/Cheers and Fröhliche Weihnachten/Merry Christmas!

Part of that is - as I said - I found out from adrian that for people "on the turn", there is no mechanism in place for the manual pick to be made by the next player after the turn. This was previously unknown to me and is definately a draft flaw.

I refuse to sit in front of my computer doing Strato on Xmas

[b:e05eeec70e]Just a quick heads up to any of you who are getting your teams ready and may be chomping at the bit to start the league on Monday:[/color:e05eeec70e]

It ain't gonna happen.[/color:e05eeec70e]

If the league fills today, we'll all be sitting in front of our computers on Christmas for the post waiver draft scramble for players. Do you really want to do that?[/color:e05eeec70e]

I don't. I won't. [/color:e05eeec70e]

The reasons should be obvious. If they are not, so be it, as there is nothing that I can say here to convince you otherwise.[/color:e05eeec70e]

While I do not deign to speak for others, I have a feeling that I'm not alone in my belief that Christmas should be the one day of the year at the very least where the focus is on family and faith. [/color:e05eeec70e]

I will not be excusing myself from Christmas festivities to disappear for an hour or more to participate in the post waiver free agent scramble.[/color:e05eeec70e]

I realize that it would probably be smarter to just enter my team on Saturday without comment and do the waiver draft on Monday to reduce the risk of raising the ire of my fellow gamers, but I'm trying to give everyone advance notice so that anyone who is scrambling to get his team entered can relax and focus on other priorities/activities.[/color:e05eeec70e]

Have a Merry Christmas everyone![/color:e05eeec70e][/b:e05eeec70e]

BD--Amen. No issue here. That seemed obvious to me. I don't think there's an expectation to do the waivers over Christmas.

I won't purposefully hold anything up, but I'm open to whatever schedules people are keeping for the holidays.

Nice green/red text :)

I wasn't pushing for entry by today, didnt expect it but wouldnt have complained at all if you got it going tho.

I prefer for all leagues to start at the same time anyway, and league three got off to a late start.

But, the sooner you get going, the sooner we can get the championship round going.

You're posting in the wrong league forum. Simon31 is in league 3 and a notice about that has already been posted.

The Central can load now. And don't worry BDWard, we will not fill the league by the deadline tonight.
