Event #6 Preview

Our final event leading up to the semi-final round, will be an [b:2b7ec3abfe]AUTODRAFT, 80 Mil Cap, NO DH, 20% drop rule[/b:2b7ec3abfe] - which will mirror event #1. This was (at one time) considered the [b:2b7ec3abfe]"standard[/b:2b7ec3abfe]" ATG league.

It's likely no longer the standard league, I may change this to $100 Mil for Barnstormers 2011.

Official FIRST PITCH dates for this league will be Oct 18th and Oct 23, but I am going to try very hard not to have a need for any Oct 23 leagues, in order to have everyone complete their sixth event at the same time. This will make it easier to determine the semi-finalists, and get the live drafts launched.

Instead, as I often do - I would like to launch 1 EARLY League, which I will take the first 12 players that raise their hand. I'll launch my official Event #6 e-mail early next week which will mention the Early league and signups, but if you're passing by in here and want to be in the Early League, please signup here.

A reminder again that the top 9 players by points (after low season is dropped) will get a BYE directly to the finals. The other three finalists will be the World Series Winners from the three semi-final leagues.

So, you need to place in the Top 45 to move on in the tournament. 1-9 get the bye, 10-45 will play in one of 3 semi-final leagues.

Also, I realize that a number of you probably don't have a mathematical chance of making the Top 45, I probably don't either, but I would only ask that if you decide not to compete in Event #6 for that reason, to please let me know by return e-mail. [u:2b7ec3abfe]I always assume that everyone is playing[/u:2b7ec3abfe] so if you give up and just don't answer my mails, you wind up being assigned in a league anyway and then this only delays the other players in the league while we wait for you to show up. There is no shame in ending your tour early for poor performance, but there is shame in making the rest of the players wait for you while you've already made up your mind to just ignore all of my "join the league" e-mails.
