Better to be lucky than good!
I've won three rings in my last four teams but have yet to win 90 games in a season this year! It's been a very strange card set for me in '06.
My pitching is always pretty decent, but my hitters are all over the place. I'll have Tony Clark go .290/.360/.500 in a pitchers park, yet go .211/.308/.415 in Ameriquest. Then, the next time around, he's reversed, while another stud flounders about. My hitting is a box of chocolates.
[b:b858be7e9c]Spicki[/b:b858be7e9c], the [i:b858be7e9c]ladies[/i:b858be7e9c] were an awesome team. Throughout the eight weeks, I remember thinking [i:b858be7e9c]Geez! He swept three again![/i:b858be7e9c] on what seemed like a regular basis.
I wish I could get my hitting to keep pace with the pitching, as you managed to do. As it is, the short play-off series favors the pitching, so I guess I keep lucking out in the finals when I probably deserve worse. As for you, you deserved a better fate, but I'm glad it worked out the way it did for me!
Good luck in your run to the Champions league!
:D
P.S. Your bro seems to have righted the ship as well. We were playing even for the longest time, but he's playing .550 ball now, as I hover around .500 (improving slightly lately). Glad to see the [i:b858be7e9c]old guard[/i:b858be7e9c] is figuring things out!
