Minimum Expectations

Postby Detroit-Tigers » Tue Jul 01, 2008 7:18 am

I know our tour is relatively free-flowing, and there are a lot of new faces, so I thought I would take a moment to list out some expectations for those who might not know. Feel free to add to this list any other reasonable expectations.

1) "Watch" the thread you sign up for. If you sign up for a league, scroll to the bottom and click "WATCH THIS TOPIC". This will allow you to get instant updates when things are posted, and if you don't check the boards hourly (as many of the vets probably do), this will help you to keep up to speed with your league.

2) Don't join a league unless you are ready to go. If you can't spend the time in the next week or so to actually finish the draft (if any) or load your team, don't join. That doesn't mean things don't come up, but be of the expectation that you can live up to your commitments when you join.

3) If you have a problem, let your league know. If something comes up and you can't get your team in by the cutoff, or you need to be away, let the league know. People are a lot more understanding if they are not spamming the refresh button waiting for you to respond or load, or pick. What people hate is when they have no idea when/if you are going to respond.

4) Check your email. This goes along with #1, but also if we have a problem finding you, the commish has your email address. Nothing is worse than a guy disappearing, not responding to posts, or PMs, or the commish emailing them.

If we can all remain available and responsive, this will make the tour much more fun. The minimum expectation is that you check in once per day. This is the bare minimum, and 95% of us check every 1-3 hours. If in doubt, remember that 11 people are probably waiting on you.

Feel free to add but please don't make this too much of a b~tch session.
