Live draft could be fun!!! INPUT Please

Our draft has been painful. It's bad enough someone isn't there to draft and the clock runs out. Then the next person isn't there to draft in his place. A live draft would be a blast with 12 people who are dedicated to being there and getting the draft done. I've been in fantasy leagues where you have to be there to draft. Finished in a couple hours.

The trouble with proxies is I didn't have any set for rnd 1 so the draft site takes my round 4 proxie who was priority number 2 and take him in round 1. Have no idea why that occured. It did take my round 2 proxie in round 2. This is going to be a strange draft. :?

Just the opposite on our draft. I believe it took less then 3 days to draft. After the slow first round and slow 2nd round, it was lightening.

Course, the proxy man was at work big time, for sure.

Sorry you guys are having problems.

draft position

Postby Assmeriten » Thu May 25, 2006 11:49 am

What draft position (if any) do you think have an advantage? I would think that picks 6th and 7th would since they get to pick in the middle of each round. In the league I'm in I have 11th pick so have to wait forever in the odd numbered rounds.

Wonder if anyone takes either 14 hitters or 11 pitchers to fill out either their hitters or pitchers and not worry about filling out the rest of their hitters or pitchers in the autodraft part.

Wonder how much longer draft would take if it was 26 rounds. 25 players and 1 ballpark.

I'm going cheap on pitching. I spent all my money on power hitters. The draft is going much better now. Still wish it was a little faster, but, not much we can do.

We just had to do our first skip in rnd 3 pick 10, so he is now back on the clock for round 4. So far I have CF,RF, and 2 starting pitchers. Just also changed my mind on which park I was going to go for at first.

So far I have M. Ramirez, Derek Lee, M. Tejada, A. Ramirez, Griffey Jr, Utley. I'll be looking at the bottom of the barrell when it comes to pitching. I'm hoping for a lot of high scoring games!!!
