I'm not exactly one of the 'wise men' around here, but I've played in 5 or so of the Tours/Player's Championships.

LoL, this was a true 'grassroots' development spearheaded by the masters of the game themselves. Kind of a theme league on steroids that migrated to HGH and is now on some completely next-level performance enhancer :P

Rest assured, it WILL happen. We're probably just waiting on the official page to be set up.

I received an email from Bernie stating that the PC will get rolling this week regardless of whether Ashleyjoe is commish or not. Just giving everyone a heads up to stay tuned.

Am I the only one who thinks it's ridiculous that the semis are planned for Jan 24th, which means that the finals will start somewhere in march/april, RIGHT AT THE FRENZY of 2011?

Finals should start Jan 24th, at the latest for my taste.

I agree with the psuedo-doctor. This is starting so late, we should either just go to the finals with the top 12 teams or lop off one of the qualifying rounds. This will be an exhausted process by the time the end comes.

I'm not going to back out or anything, but it's July for gosh sakes. It's asking too much to complete 5 rounds, a semis and a Finals at this late point. At least one or two rounds need to be chopped off.

I understand what everyone is saying about getting a late start and running this whole tournament into the release of a new card set. However, the tournaments in the past 3 or so years have all run into April and May, which means they have also continued through the release of new card sets. In 2008 there were 6 Events and each event signup was separated by a little over a month...So by keeping to the 5 events for this year and only 2-3 weeks in between signups, that has helped trim off some time and keep the Tour at an end date of late May.

Event 5 will end the week of December 6th...I know many managers do not want to be setting up their semi-finals team around the Holidays so the earliest that we could start the Semis would be January 10th. To give everyone an idea of where that puts us on a time schedule, in 2008 the Semis started on 1/12 and the Finals ended in early May, not far off from our projected end.

All that being said, I will talk to Bernie about everyone's concerns and see if there is anything that can be done as far as scratching an Event or making up time somewhere.
