heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
picky spicki has got his red button turn on!!!
I was wondering if you would ever react to my "carbon copy" comment. :)
Sadly though, you don't look as someone who has understood the ironic voice that one could find reading between the lines...
You (as well as your own brother, for the matter) seem to have taken my comments a bit too seriously, so I'll give a serious response:
A pleasure of fantasy teams is to do a little trash talk. A trash talk is usually composed of a small truth, and a lot of exaggeration. Trash talk is done to tease someone, but also to position yourself when the pressure gets a little bit more intense. Apparantly, you didn't appreciate my trash talk pointing at you. Of course, you don't have the exact same strategy: in trash talks, there is a little truth, and a lot of exaggeration. But the truth is that your teams as well the teams of the other fellow of yours (I have a blank for his name) look more similar to cristano's teams than kavikdad's teams or riggo's teams. Even cristano himself has said so. All the rest (carbon copy, etc) is exaggeration to pump you a little bit.
In the case of your brother, with cristano finishing first (and letting it loudly known), I wanted to put a little bit of pressure on him. You accuse me of "calling out his player", but remember what I just said: in trash talking, there is a little of truth, and a lot of exagerration. The facts are that your brother had different players in his different teams, although there are clearly some players that he likes.
Same is true for me. Instead of taking my comments too seriously, you should have responded back by saying: "hey luckyman, I am surprised you didn't pick up Frank Thomas with your first pick". (I am sure bigmahon had this thought!!! )
In fact, we probably love the same players (perhaps you don't know this, but cristano and I have exchanged several emails in the beginning of the season---In case you wonder, our private emails were very courteous and friendly.) Apparantly, we are using a very similar rating system, because we came out with the same conclusions about the value of Bonds and of several other players.
