I would just leave it unless it turns out that Gepes wanted Gonzalez. If he does, you should be abe to drop him and then repick. Hopefully he'll check in soon. Probably not aware that we started.

i don't think in a championship league anyone should be skipped. if you are going to, at least do a gentlemen's rule of not in the first 5 rounds. missing a pick in those rounds can be extremely costly with this type of competition.
