Again

Postby FRANKZAHN » Wed Feb 06, 2008 10:13 pm

Uncleny is in two event 7 leagues. The league six appears to be a filler. The one that counts is league 5 in which he is 61-71. So he needs to go 14-16 in the last 30 games to break the tie.

Thanks again, [b:1986f0c50a]fj,[/b:1986f0c50a] you are of course correct. I knew that, too. I'm even a filler also in the same league. Just like I knew he still had a score to drop...but I forgot.

But, I'm really, really old. And tired. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. :D

For what its worth

Postby FRANKZAHN » Sun Feb 10, 2008 11:38 pm

This is the way I count the tiebreakers between me, akindian and uncleny.

fjzahn ---- 1 championship, 3 finals, 4 playoffs
uncleny --- 1 championship, 3 finals, 3 playoffs (still playing in event 7)
akindian ---1 championship, 2 finals, 5 playoffs.

If the above is correct, then fjzahn would be in win the tiebreaker, followed by uncleny and then akindian.

Someone please check it out to be sure.

6 Contenders for the Final 3 Spots

Postby mesquiton » Fri Feb 15, 2008 3:24 am

The following 9 managers have clinched spots in the Champions League:
[b:176c36d798]
Terry101
cristano1
Detroit-Tigers
Roscodog
AZHawg
keyzick
James Schubert
stevep107
hendrix08
[/b:176c36d798]
With just 3 games left in their final league, [b:176c36d798]colorado99[/b:176c36d798] has dropped out of the Top 12 for good, and [b:176c36d798]uncleny[/b:176c36d798] has failed to break the tie. After dropping his final score, [b:176c36d798]uncle[/b:176c36d798] will end up tied with [b:176c36d798]fjzahn[/b:176c36d798] and [b:176c36d798]akindian[/b:176c36d798]. For now, those 3 are tied for the final 3 spots in the Champions League.

Three other managers are still alive:

[b:176c36d798]UNCtarheel[/b:176c36d798] leads his division by 3 games with 3 to play. He needs to win 2 of his last 3 to clinch a share of the tie. If he wins all 3 games, or otherwise wins the division and the semis, he'll avoid the tiebreakers and clinch a spot in the final 12.

Both [b:176c36d798]fowldawg[/b:176c36d798] and defending champ [b:176c36d798]Cummings2[/b:176c36d798] have 45 games to play in the final league.

[b:176c36d798]Fowldawg[/b:176c36d798] is leading his division by 12 games with 69 wins. He will tie for the final spot if he finishes 27-18 and wins the league title, or goes 37-8 and wins the division without a win in the playoffs.

[b:176c36d798]Cummings[/b:176c36d798] is 2 games back in his division with 62 wins. He will tie for the final spot if he finishes 23-22 and wins the division and league title, or goes 33-12 and wins the division without a win in the playoffs.

So, there's at least a chance that the final berth in the Champions League will not be determined until the last playoff game of the final Tour league is complete!

So about 3 more weeks..... 45 games/3 games per night = 15 days + playoffs

We should have cut off the final leagues earlier.

Still 6 Alive for 3 Spots

Postby mesquiton » Sat Feb 16, 2008 3:55 am

With Ev7Lg5 regular season finished, [b:d74e7c2d73]UNCtarheel's[/b:d74e7c2d73] team, [b:d74e7c2d73]Last Chancers,[/b:d74e7c2d73] has won its division, with the league's best record at 92-70. He also gained the distinction of fielding the Tour's highest-scoring team so far (with one more league to finish), scoring 1008 runs!

But, he still fell a single win short of tying for the last 3 finals spots. So, if he wins at least the playoff semi series against [b:d74e7c2d73]teepack's[/b:d74e7c2d73] 90-72 wildcard team, [b:d74e7c2d73]Erla's Trim Jobs,[/b:d74e7c2d73] he will clinch one of the remaining 3 spots in the Champions League. If not, he's out.

Hey Mesquiton, awesome job with all these updates!! :)

It's taking so long to get to the Finals league, your posts at least keep up the interest while we wait for things to play out.
