sissy-ro (aka riggo) - awww, its so cute how scared you are. i looked at your team at the beginning of the season then took the only usable piece off your roster (chavez). now with your depleted and inept team, i do have to admit that i hear quite a bit of fear in you. as for benitez, now that i know it bothers you, i will push for that 300 mark.

Remember my pre-season prediction, which was summarily dismissed:

The teams with the best road records will be the teams in the playoffs...

good luck guys!

I think the [i:085c5b586a]FORCE [/i:085c5b586a]is with Woods. :P

[b:085c5b586a]SPECIAL NOTE TO LUCKYMAN:[/b:085c5b586a] Marc, the key is to squeeze all of your runs allowed into one game of the 3-game series, and then win the other two by one or two runs. That way you can afford to let your opponents score SEVEN RUNS PER GAME and still have a winning record. 8)

[quote:501d61c969="Woods007"][quote:501d61c969="marcus wilby"]uncleny's point is well founded....[/quote:501d61c969]

Woods (sic) not that be an oxymoron, like military intelligence, or champion UncleNY?
[[/quote:501d61c969]

Odd, right after my post on the subject, Woods responded, in a brief moment of clarity "good point!" What an idiot. And obviously one with an itty bitty [fill in the blank], as his insecurity is unparalleled among 40-something business owners.

BTW, does anyone else find it a little annoying when someone writes "LOL" in nearly every post he makes. I always thought "LOL" was used when you wanted to let [i:501d61c969]someone else [/i:501d61c969]know that what [i:501d61c969]he [/i:501d61c969]wrote was funny, [b:501d61c969][i:501d61c969]not[/i:501d61c969][/b:501d61c969] to tell someone that what you're writing is funny.

Now on to the real purpose of this thread: I generally like the flexibility of having 24 players in most DH leagues. Perhaps it's a luxury, perhaps not. In my case Cuddyer may turn out to be a waste of $$, or he may get 200 AB's as a sub at a variety of positions, in which case I like the investment.

Am I the only one who wishes the [b:15950da655]Woods/uncle ny[/b:15950da655] drama would just go away? :(

Believe it or not, I'm completely with you on this.

What do you think of my 24-man roster vs. the 23-man roster advocated by several others here?

Well, I'm not a genius like [b:da19ff6922]riggio[/b:da19ff6922] and [b:da19ff6922]lucky[/b:da19ff6922], so I wouldn't dare present my analysis.

In spite of this, I will say that I occassionally carry a 14th positional player when I deem it appropriate. More often than not, however, I go with 13.

go jedi knights!

ps -- there is no correlation between the size of your roster and your winning percentage. there is a correlation between our roster sizes and uncle's IQ (or lack thereof).

The magic number is road games won. Master that, weedhoppers, and you will be in the playoffs w/ a chance to win.
