BTW, in case you wonder, I don't put a lot of faith into these ratings. First, there is so many things to estimate (injuries, stadium, lefty/righty pitching, the ratings itself), and second, even if I got it right, there is approximately a 10-15 wins variation from simming from one season to another simply due to luck (dice rolls) or from the unreliability of the win-lose record with regards to the RS/RA ratio.

I put the ratings there mostly for fun and for discussion.

Now, I was surprised by your low rating, bigmahon. I thought you had a real good club, but my ratings don't rate your pitching quite as good as I thought it would be.

Perhaps this is due to an error from my estimation. I estimated the following from your rotation, tell me if you agree or not:

Peavy: 224 IP
Ramirez: 208 IP
Benson: 192 IP
Trachsel: 192 IP
Sabathia: 192 IP
K-Rod: 180 IP
Ryan: 88IP
Ayala: 84 IP

those ratings systems do not do well to teams which are specifically built to be managed on a series by series basis..and dat's what i got!

good luck to all. great season so far. now we just have to wait for uncle's and c22's boneadded FA plays and see what the opportunitues arise. btw, the reason i mention these two is that c22 needs to do something b/c he miscalculated in forming his team and Uncle is famous for fading in the stretch and experience says his anxiety will prove comedy for us all.

That's why I get them. I barely have time to look at the scores of the games. I almost never look at a boxscore, rarely look at my team's stats and couldn't care less who my opponent is starting.

As for the rotation, that was kind of an accident - I meant to set up Alvarez so that he would always pitch in tandem with either Ol.Perez or Leiter. The way my rotation is set now, he'll have 11 or so starts when opponents can load up lefties against him. :(

I didn't get [i:001d20279b]Jet Ratings [/i:001d20279b]for 2004 cards, but given the amount of time I spend messing with spreadsheets working out my own ratings, the [i:001d20279b]Jet's[/i:001d20279b] fee is a bargain!

I love luckyman's analytics, but I gotta say, my greatest respect goes out to the guys whose "Rating System" consists of simply eyeballing the cards.

Guys,

One of the members of this board has taken it upon himself to register an AOL screen name which is my name. He has sent harrassing emails using this screen name.

AOL identy theft/fraud department has already taken action. If you receive an AOL email using my real name and referenceing my TSN screen name, please bounce it back to "fraud@aol.com". They are collecting these emails.

This is just another instance of an attempt to bully by a sad person with low self-esteem. Fortunately, I guess , this person is also of low intelligence, as AOL has been able to directly identify the account which created the name theft.

In light of these developments -- I quit the tour --- NOT!!! In light of these events, I shall re-double my efforts to repeat!!! :-)
