Spicki - I'm not surprised you didn't respond to my last post. I don't take you for the kind of person that ever backs up his words...

ineluki, im not sure what you are trying to accomplish here by calling me out. i didnt respond to you because i didnt want to mean.

1 - if you go back and recalculate chavez's numbers you will find i am correct. i recalculated, then had my roommate recalculate, and we both came out with the figures i had posted. im not saying its impossible for us to be wrong, but the likelihood here is that you are.

2 - in terms of you calling me out to play you...i'm not sure what that accomplishes. you finished 6th from the bottom (with 77.14 points) in the tour this year. i play in autoleagues all year long and i think most autoleaguers could do better than that. in fact, i bet my girlfriend could do better than that.

so dont come on this thread and give me your 2 cents, because i honestly dont care what your 2 cents is.

in fact, dont come on this thread again at all -- you dont belong here, and it just makes no sense for you to come into our nice league banter and stir things up with me. i will not acknowledge any postings you make from here on out.

Hey Ineluki is a good body. If he wants to be in this forum, let him be.

Actually, I'm sure he finished with 77 points because he let us win!!

all right make it buddy then  and I will let ineluki judge his own body!!

Speaking of English, what went wrong with this next sentence: I can feel it's wrong, but I can't find the right way to express myself:

[quote:3f13e2f041]"Number crushers" are particularly vulnerable to introduce bias in their analysis without noticing it. [/quote:3f13e2f041]

my team couldn't get on base if their lives depended upon it!

as for the bonds-edmonds-rolen quote, above, i quite strongly disagree...i think the value list is Bonds, Pujols, Rolen for righty dominant BP effects ball parks and Bonds, Edmonds, Drew for lefty BP parks.

As I stated Spicki:

1) Neither you nor your roommate can count - plain and simple. Chavez has 39 non-ballpark OBP chances on his card and the Strat guidebook confirms as much.

2) I sucked in the tour b/c real life got in the way. I make no excuses - that's just the way it was.

3) Look at the 2005 player rankings. I have more championships than you moron...

4) As I said, put your $$ where your big mouth is and play me one on one - but alas, you are afraid which shocks absolutely no one.

5) These are TSN threads. I can post wherever the good god damn I please. You are not the keeper of this forum. Who the f**k do you think you are telling me, or anyone else for that matter, where they can post???

[b:08dc707cc3]Marcus:[/b:08dc707cc3] I also enjoy your sometimes creative interpretations of our language, but you write better English than most of the "Americans" I know (perhaps you've heard that football coaches rate far higher than English teachers in our public schools), but this is how I would improve your sentence:

[quote:08dc707cc3]"Number crushers" are particularly vulnerable to introduce bias in their analysis without noticing it.[/quote:08dc707cc3]

...are particularly vulnerable to introducing bias (in)to their analysis...

"into" would suggest making bias part of their analysis
"to" would have a more metaphorical or poetic meaning: introducing bias to analysis like you would introduce one person to another

Your free English lesson for the day, kids! :D

I'd like to add that I much admire your ability to write in a "foreign" language...few folks in the U.S. could do so at all. I lived in Mexico for a couple of years with no prior knowledge of Spanish...not easy, and Spanish is lots easier than English!
