i say we get teepak's reply on what to do. They have not been heard from since the draft started. i don't have any problems with phone numbers but being at work would make this difficult for me anyways. My personel feeling is to see if we can find 2 new managers and start over.

At some point we may have to abandon this draft and start a new one. We would need to take a poll of everyone who is interested in the new league and make a post to fill the remaining spots. We could say something like "don't sign up unless you are able and willing to actively participate in the live draft."

The best option of course is for everyone in this draft to show up and make their picks in a timely manner. If that doesn't happen however we will need to go to plan B above.

I vote "Aye" to starting over, and would also ask that if that is the decision, that I myself be replaced. Honestly, after Alex Rodriguez, I have had no frickin' clue who to draft; I was in the middle of making a mess of the whole thing, and have discovered I'd much rather do NL. If we do continue, though, I will stay in and will make my picks as quickly as possible.

Whoa guys,

I picked yesterday morning and set some proxies I then worked a full day and drove 8 hours to my home and the FIRST thing i did when i walked in the door was check this draft. I apologize for the inconvenience. But there is only so much i can do. I should not be blamed for not being skipped when my time elapsed.


As it appears some of you are new to this, a couple of things about the draft:

It is acceptable/possible to skip someone after their clock has elapsed. You can skip multiple players if two picks in a row if the clock elapses on two people as well. In order to skip someone you have to make a manual pick proxies cannot do this.

The draft turns of at night. ( I think it runs from 8 am eastern to 10 pm eastern)


Once again, I am very sorry for what happened, but I simply should have been skipped by warrior at 1103 or Dean should have picked @ 1303. SO today when/if Warriors time elapses Dean should just pick and the draft will start rolling again. Warrior will be able to make up his pick whenever he checks back in. If we get to him again and he has still not picked then maybe you can start looking for a replacement for him of something like that. acrapping the wholde draft seems ridiculous.

this is not true. if i set my proxies properly and am not around for the day and the person before me doesnt pick in his window and i dont pick in mine manually to skip him, i should not be penalized for that. thus, only 1 person can be skipped at a time. this is a long standing rule of live drafting.

If DeanTSC would make his pick and skip Warrior, I believe we can get started again and perhaps Warrior will check in before his pick comes up again.

i think the issues we are hitting right now are just things you have to deal w/ with a live draft. warrior can be skipped once, but not twice in a row. if you skip someone twice it gives them a good reason to leave the draft.

i say if warrior doesnt check in by the end of the day, we look for a replacement. for now, dean should pick and we should continue until warriors next pick.
