[b:3dd57d492f]Lee[/b:3dd57d492f]:
When you first mentioned driving off the road, because you said you were "visiting family over the holidays" I just assumed that (like me) you [i:3dd57d492f]meant[/i:3dd57d492f] to do it!
Now I see that it was more serious than it first sounded. There's certainly no need to apologize for your draft, we all know the bigger picture. Besides, until the 17th pick, I don't even recall you missing a proxy, as I remember the swing at the top always moving pretty quickly.
The rants like you see here result from situations like the live draft nightmare story that I had last season when we drew straws just before a holiday (Memorial Day?) We made a few first round picks on the Thursday before, when a manager announced that, [i:3dd57d492f]hey fellas, it's a long weekend and I'm going offline until next Tuesday, because if I make my first pick the clock will start after the first round.[/i:3dd57d492f] The ironic thing is that another manager, ([b:3dd57d492f]Detroit Tigers[/b:3dd57d492f]?) was in somewhere like Nairobi, Africa and was worried about his picks, but never missed a round/proxy despite one hour of computer time per day (or some such).
All joking aside, I hope you and the family are safe and certainly don't sweat the rants posted here (especially by salty nuts like me and [b:3dd57d492f]C2[/b:3dd57d492f]). We like to rant and rave, but we also know the bigger picture. No need to apologize to the Strat-O crowd when you have real life stuff affecting your family.
Glad you're still here among the living, now you have your work cut out for you in the East!
Best wishes for the new year,
J
