Teepack, in EV2 LG11 mr. bob schwarts has jose valverde (with 12 games remaining) having already pitched 209 innings.

Just an fyi as he will likely be the wild card entry in this league. . .

Wow, never noticed that. He probably didn't either. Teepack, here is the link to the team.

Actually he was at least the 2nd LOL - my Event 1 team had a reliever that went over 200 IP. Not that I am overly concerned since I feel it was a dumb rule to institute anyway - and there was pretty much nothing I could do (save drop the reliever) to avoid the situation *shrugs*. As it is it is going to be meaningless because I never go anywhere in the SOM Tour (probably because I focus on my more challenging leagues & themes).

Here is a link so I can be properly punished LOL. :P

Can anyone clarify the 200 inning super reliever rule in terms of a situation where a player is traded or dropped and picked up by another team on waivers.

For example, say, Matt Wise pitches 130 innings for team A and is then traded or waivered and Team B has Wise pitch 71 innings, is there a penalty?

Commish? Anyone??

Thanks

In another thread Lucky asked T about this. I believe the answer Tee gave is that the player carries the IP, in the example you posted yes there would be a penalty.

Another question about the rule: Does the 10 "tour points" penalty mean the 10 points are deducted from the manager's total tour points, or from the points for the event in which the violation occurs?

In other words, if a manager plays 6 or 7 events, can he "drop" the penalty by dropping his score for the event in which the penalty is incurred, if that's his lowest score, or are the penalty points deducted from his tour total AFTER the low score is dropped...?

FWIW, a while back I counted about a dozen managers who had already violated the 200 IP rule, including several who might otherwise still have a shot at the final 12, so this rule could decide one or more of the finalists for the Champions League.

Also, it appears the standings on the "official" Tour page do not include these penalties, and also include "filler" scores for some managers...as well as some managers (including the one currently appearing in first place) who can't complete the minimum required 5 events.

Would be nice if the posted standings could be accurate and up to date, so everybody knows where they really stand coming down the stretch....

Can you add a column next to the Points column that has the amount of tour leagues each manager has participated in?
