Mal,

Hope your calcualtions are correct!!

If they are, then I'm stoked!!

First time in the Player's Championship and a seat at the table!!

Besides the first year of the championship any rooks ever win it all? Is it even possible for my head to get any bigger? Are Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler the same person? If a train leaves Chicago for Philadelphia travelling 65 MPH and a bus leaves Tallahassee for Gainsville travelling at 55 MPH, do the people who are flying to Hawaii even care?

I think I've digressed.

Just reiterating my excitement in making the finals.

Good luck to the teams trying to make it in.

I think Maligned is being very very very kind in offering a possibilty of me making the top 12. I"M GONE.

I do detect a fault with the system though. This is not a complaint as I knew the rules going into round 7 and knew if I had a bad result it would likely cost me my place in the final 12. Perhaps next year the final order should be made up of each managers best 5, 6 or whatever scores across the board, because I think the current system doesn't fully encourage managers to enter all events if possible, for fear that a bad round will hurt there final standing.

Example. One manager plays in six events drops there worse score, another plays in all 7 events and is also only allowed to drop their worse score. The second manager more often than not would lose out as their score is averaged over 6 events not five like the 1st manager. Hence not giving much encouragement to play in all events.

Just my thoughts nothing else.

Congrats to Teepak and co. for all the outstanding work you have done. It is very much appreciated. Best of luck also to all who playoff in the players championship.

Merry Xmas to all.

Kanga.

PS. If someone had said to me at the start of the year that I would finish in the top 20 I would have taken it and run, so although disappointed to miss at the last post, I'm still happy. :)

This is freakin amazing. . .

Sknsfan, I also am a rookie in the tour, and it has been a blast. . . I would have never guessed that I would make the top 12, in fact I was just shooting for the top 50 as a goal. . .

Lots of LUCK for me, luck of the draw, luck of the draft, etc. etc. . . but as my mother always said, better to be lucky than good.

When do the finals begin???? :)

How come kaviksdad doesn't appear on teepack's list?

Because he only completed 5 of the first 6 events. He doesn't have a drop incorporated in Teepack's calculations, so his score is only 88 through 6 events. He will drop a 76 and incorporate a 102 or 107 after his finals game 7 tonight.

It's nice to see my name in the top 12 - I hope the calculations are right.

A nice game 7 win last night gave me another championship - my 3rd Tour league win. Maybe that will count for something this year.

I'm almost certain everything's right. Mesquiton has exactly the same calculations in his "Top 40" list.

This is also my first year on the tour and I'm happy to have made the finals.

Can we estimate when the live draft for the final round is likely to begin?

regards,
Steve
