POLL: Change in determining division assignments

Okay guys, I've been thinking about changing how we make divisional assignments in leagues where there is a live draft or stadium draft. Traditionally, we have taken teams 1, 4, 7 and 10 in the draft order and put them in the East (2, 5, 8 and 11 in the Central, and 3, 6, 9 and 12 in the West). I propose we change this to putting teams 1, 2, 3 and 4 in the East, 5-8 in the Central and 9-12 in the West. That way, especially when it's a stadium draft only that is dragging out over a few days, the East teams will be able to load without having to wait on other managers to make their stadium picks. As it is now, teams in the Central with picks 2, 5 and 8 have to wait until the final East manager makes his stadium draft and then gets his team loaded. I think this would help speed up the process a bit, but I'll leave it up to the populace to decide.

Why don't you forget about assigning divisions when the league is a live stadium draft? Once the stadiums are picked, the players can go into any division, first come, first serve. This could speed things up...

Im for anything that will speed the process up. It took 2 days to do our stadium draft.

I honestly do not think it will speed things up. If a person is going to lag they are going to lag. Also If you are in the west and want a hitter friendly stadium it is very conceivable that they will be all gone before the 9th slot. This way it gives some balance. Tacoma's suggestion would be the best way
IMO

Takoma's idea is a good one, but I'm happy to leave it up to you tp.

The only thing I don't like about Tacoma's idea is that you would wind up with people (probably not very many) trying to get into a certain division based on what ballparks are in that division. I do like assigning divisions so you don't have to worry about that.

I prefer to leave it as it is. I believe it is good to know all the stadiums before finalizing the team I want to draft.

There is little question that this exact thing would happen....and happen alot more as we get down to the end of the tourney. I see it all the time in atg leagues...
