Like last year, the first event will be a true autodraft with no unique stadium requirement or divisional assignments. So get those draft cards ready and get ready to rumble. If you can fill up the league before Friday night at midnight, feel free to start next week.

The 2008 Player's Championship Home Page is up! We have made a few changes to the format this year.

We have followed the will of the people and have shortened the championship to six events (five highest scores count). Because of so many complaints about live drafts, we have eliminated the seventh event (which was the third live draft).

After the six events are completed, the top 24 or 36 (depending upon how many overall entries we have) will advance to the semifinals. If we do 36, the four playoff participants in each of the three semifinals leagues will advance to the championship round. If we do 24, then the eight playoff participants from the two leagues, plus the two teams with the best record who didn't make the playoffs, plus the two highest-rated managers from the final regular season standings who are not in either of the first two categories will comprise the finals league.

There's been a great deal of shuffling for event 1, guys moving up and down in start date to better fit their schedules and anxieties :) (I myself had to move from 6 to 8, and there are a bunch of others. )

Any of you able to get a draft list ready by late this evening (or the next day or two) should consider filling one of the 2 spots left in league 8.
