seeking rules clarification

In past tours, we were allowed to basically "drop" our worst event score when computing our rankings. As I read this year's rules, it appears that we no longer have this luxury. Am I correct in my interpretation that our ranking will be based on the arithmetic average of the five or six events that we participate in?

From the Rules link...
[quote:8f3c997a55]If you play in all six events, your lowest season point total will be dropped when compiling your tournament average. [/quote:8f3c997a55]
If you play in 5 of 6, you don't get to drop your worst season. If you play in 6 of 6, yes.
Main difference is that last year and years prior, there were 7 events and you were required to play in 5 and if you played in 6 or 7, your worst record was dropped.
This year is better IMHO. I liken the old rules to Wade Boggs sitting out the last day of the year to make sure he would win a batting title, afraid he would go 0-5.

Thanks for the clarification. I had apparently overlooked that line of text.
