Are they going to be seeded to reward the top 12 teams? Or as usual a free for all.

That's an excellent question. I am operating under the assumption that the division assignments in the semifinal leagues will be based soley upon qualifying scores and that same will apply for those teams that advance to the finals. Since the championship league holds a live draft, one's ranking should not only prove valuable with regards to division assignments but also in determining your draft position.

League #1

East 1,18,19,36
Central 6,13,24,31
West 9,10,27,28

League #2

East 2,17,20,35
Central 5,14,23,32
West 8,11,26,29

League #3

East 3,16,21,34
Central 4,15,22,33
West 7,12,25,30

I totally endorse the seeding idea, whether I make it or not.

The posted rules don't mention seeding for the Semifinals, or divisional assignments for the Semifinals or Champs League, but to use rankings for seeding seems consistent with this:

[quote:8ddefd4880][b:8ddefd4880]IV. Champions League[/b:8ddefd4880]

The 12 Managers that advance from the Semi-Finals round (see conditions above) will play in a year-end Champions League to determine the overall Champion. The format for the Champions League is: $80 million salary cap, DH, 16-round live draft, unique ballparks. The draft order will be determined by your overall standings in the Tournament. The #1 player in point totals will be given his "choice" of draft order, and then the #2 player will choose his "choice" of draft order and on down the line until each player has a draft position. We will not use lotto picks for the Champions League. This is to give due rewards for your overall tournament placement.[/quote:8ddefd4880]

UNCTarheel's suggestion for the seeding for the semifinals round is pretty much what I had in mind. Once all the regular season leagues are complete, we'll make the semifinal assignments.

dont you guys think top 36 is a bit silly? that means after 6 events, about half the managers make it in... wouldnt 24 at least be a little bit less ridiculous?

The only thing with that is that you will have to give a bye to four teams so you have have a final bracket. Anything else would be BCS-ish

I will defer to the judgment of the commissioner. I offered those bracket pairings just as an example. If only 24 teams are allowed into the semifinals, I can live with that. I finished in 13th place last year so I won't cry this time around if my playoff bubble is the last to burst, LOL.

there was over 100 managers to start so i don't believe 36 is half of that...
