Tour Semifinals Format (for next year)

Guys,
To repeat what I posted in the other thread, the semifinals round is an autodraft, DH, 20% drop. It has been posted that way on the league schedule since the home page was updated. Only the finals is a live draft.

For next year, take the top 28 teams. The top 4 get a bye into the finals, 5-28 play in the semis with the 8 playoff teams making it into the finals.
Finals
East
1. 1st place team
2. semi final champ with 2nd best record
3 semi final playoff team with worst record
4 semi final playoff team with 2nd best record
Central
1. 2nd place team
2. semi final champ with best record
3. semi final playoff team with best record
4. semi final playoff team with 2nd worst record
West
1. 3rd place team
2. 4th place team
3. semi final loser
4. semi final loser
there is a definite advantage for being the top teams in the tour standings.

The only problem with that scenario, Roscodog, is that the top four finalists will have sit around for at least 10-12 weeks waiting for the semifinals to end. That's a bit too long for a layoff.
