We are just about ready to unveil the rules for the 2006 SOM Tour - aka the first Official Tour! TSN has agreed to help market the Tour to the entire SOM community, and they have tentatively agreed to chip in some prizes! I will keep you posted as I get confirmation from Bernie regarding the level of TSN involvement, but since we are less than four weeks away from Opening Day, I wanted to go ahead and start the official sign-up thread. For those of you who have played on the Tour before, you know what we are all about - competition and camaraderie! If you haven't played on the Tour before, but you think your SOM managerial skills are as good as anybody else, then this is the place for you.

[b:31d0565a1d]Summary[/b:31d0565a1d]: The Tour consists of seven events. You must play in at least five events to be eligible for the season-ending Champions League. The top 12 managers advance to the Champions League. Your score will be your average score for the events you play in. Points are awarded based on wins (one point per win) and then you get bonus points for making it to the postseason, winning a playoff series and winning a World Series. The scoring system will be explained in the official Rules thread, which I hope to post in a day or two. Yes, sign me up! If you do sign-up, please send Teepack, the unofficial Tour Commissioner, an e-mail (teepack@netzero.com) with your Board ID so that we will have a way to communicate with you so that you can be notified when rounds begin and standings are updated, etc. Please note there is no limit to how many players can sign up for the Tour.
