Good point, YF. I'll start putting my team together. Anyone in the East can start the 1989 league. I'll start a 1989 thread later.

My MVP

1) Rice (older player putting it together for one last hurrah deserves the prize)

2) McGwire (never been there before and amazing numbers. The games he missed due to inury cost him a shot at the record books)

3) Rickey (been there, done that but when he does it......it's too sweet)

Cy Young

1) Dwight
2) DeLeon
3) Clemens

Congratulations YF!! You 80's STUD you!

BC, can you or YF or one of the ultra-talented tech dudes in the league generate a list of the 1989 eligible players that were not on rosters at the end of 1988? That could help us all. Thank you,

Sean

PS: I created my team; if that list is made available I can start the league. Thanks

Thanks for the congrats. It was a nice team. Losing Rice, Winfield and Whitt will huts big in 89. They hit like 130 homers, scored and drove in over 300 runs. A hugh loss.

YF Wins Championship Again.....B-F-D!!!!!???!!!

Postby Runnin Rebel » Sun Dec 03, 2006 11:36 pm

Caps off to YF on another impressive playoff run. My Express were hoping to at least make up you sweat in the semis armed with Rickey, Big Mac and 3-20 game winners, but you roared through them in 4 games. You kept the momentum rolling and took the championship in 4 games also. An absolute powerhouse effort. Good job.
