FEDERAL LEAGUE--1981 Awards

Postby sphilipp8 » Fri Dec 29, 2006 6:27 pm

Before we start the 1982 season I think we need to decide on the awards for the 1981 season. It would be a shame to have a decade league and not give out awards. I'm not sure the best way to do this - just have our esteemed commisioner choose or have anyone who wants to vote submit their picks via this post. I really don't care how we do it.

My choices are:

MVP: Jim Rice - Lewinskys
Cy Young: Steve Rogers - Mariners
World Series MVP - Don Sutton - Hawks

Tough choices...

MVP - D. Parker
Cy Young - S. Rogers
RoY - B. Blyleven
Playoff MVP - D. Sutton

Cy Young was a tough choice. Sutton was the best pitcher, but Rogers won 5 more games...couldn't ignore Dave Parkers .367 average and .704 slugging. Sorry Jim Rice and Andre Thornton!

MVP Parker
CY Sutton

I could care less about the other awards. ROY will be interesting when eeryone isn't a rookie.
