I agree that switch-hitters might a little more valuable. Pricing doesn't seem to be affected much.
However, in the 80s, the value is lessened because of the mystery card. You often don't know if you're facing a reverse righty or reverse lefty (or have a reverse righty or lefty). Sometimes, you need a "E" hitter for balance.
