What I Love About This Game

30 games in, my team is struggling. After a good start, we're losing series after series.
I know I have Grich's worst year and I'm trying to hide him at the bottom of the order.
However, I notice that Royster is hitting LHPs and getting on base whenever he plays against them.
So I start to platoon them.
Now Grich is hitting .364 against RHPs with an OBP of .438 and he's leading off and Royster is is .273 and .333 against RHPs
And my team has started to play better.
The other games, you pick your guys, set your platoons and batting order and wait.
Here, you tinker and tweak and watch splits and hopefully hit on a winning combination,

At this moment I don't love anything about this game. I got "supposed" power guys who can't hit a beach ball.Nothing I try is working...I've pretty much tanked this team and I'm not even half way through my season.

Pretty co-incidental, we both joined within a couple of days of each other and I too am from the Great White North.
Stuff like this happens.
I thought I had it figured out with back to back team making the playoffs and my first championship.
Then I had a team that went 63 and 99, or something like that, and I thought it was going to be my best team ever.
Same problem, power guys not producing.
But unless you know a player is on a subpar year, sometimes the best you can do it wait, or try to solve one problem at a time, not all of them at once.
