Has anyone tried this with success? I'm sure it's been done before. You pick a team and can only draft players that played on that team.

I've been in a couple of them. They can be fun. I think the best part about it is that it expands the player pool more so that rarely used players see more action in the league.

There's also a nice bit of draft strategy built into the process since there are some guys that share years with other teams.

I like this idea. Being from Minnesota, I'd like to try to draft a team of Minnesota Twins players.

It would also be interesting to draft two teams (serpentine style) and then have to keep players that played for one of the two teams. That sounds very interesting.

I'd be interested to hear what other league themes are out there.

You may want to check out the EAST-WEST Theme League topic. Each owner drafts 2 major league teams. There's still 3 spots open. I was in one similar, drafting an AL & NL team. It was a good league. It was challenging trying to draft 2 teams and balancing hitting, pitching, power, etc.
