Bombers is talking like he's already beta testing a new 80s version.

How sweet would that be. I would love to be a beta tester, like most of us here I'm sure.

Nothing is happening yet as far as I know. However, If new players are added to the 80's game they would have to be priced which could likely cause a revamping of all the prices in the 80's game to better price some overpriced players like Langston, Plunk, King, Baker, etc. If the total pricing is adjusted it will likely go up across the board to match the way all current games are being priced. I have no inside knowledge, this is just my 2¢.

I like the newer interface, even if only because I like being to define who my second and third choice at a position is. I won't draft Benzinger because HAL will use him as the first backup OF even when I have better backups available out there. There's a ton of players in 80's but yeah, there are a few notables missing that I'd like to have. We'll see. I don't play that often but an 80's update would likely change that.

The mystery card game is the best! I don't see why a 90's mystery card game is not top priority. If you wan't to attract new (younger) members and satisfy the current 80's managers, the logical progression is the 90's mystery card game. They already put out 1999 so the old excuses don't hold water anymore.

[quote:00783dbcc7="ths92110"]After the Tournament is over we could all agree not to play the 80's or any other SOM game until the 80's gets a facelift. Painful, yes, but it's probably the only way we'll get any results.[/quote:00783dbcc7]

Please. That is just totally ridiculous.

I would imagine a 90's Mystery Card game is not top priority because the single season games are way more popular. Look at the number of leagues in each game and you'll see.

I play 70's and 80's, I play ATG and I like them all equally (well, 70's not so much).

Get over the "Mystery Card is the red-headed stepchild" kvetching and just enjoy playing the game. That's all this is. As much as we love it and are addicted to it, it's just a game.

Myster Card Games

I've played single season games for FREE, and it's boring. Once the season starts there's nothing to do. Maybe some managers want to use current players and that's fine. Then start the 90's and then 2000's. Once you manage the mystery games, single seasons just don't cut it.
