Force play at home

Orlando Merced injured on a force play at home vs RHP. He has a GB1BB and a GB3BA as well as a GBPB. Force was at home with the bases loaded(O Outs). Does the injury mean he hit it back to the mound or could the other GB's cause the same result?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if the infield was playing in with 0 outs, I think the results of the GBA/B/C plays are different.
If the infield was not playing in, that play was a result of any GBB.
The problem is, you have no way of knowing if the infield was in or not.
