70s Draft League – Little Red Machines
$60 M, no DH draft league. In honor of Sparky Anderson, this league will be a partial draft league involving members of the Cincinnati Reds roster who have cards of Reds’ teams that Sparky Anderson managed (1970 – 1978). A three round serpentine draft will be conducted, based on pick 3 lottery, LOWEST TO HIGHEST. (Also used to determine Divisions, East 1,4,7,10 – Central 2,5,8,11 and West 3,6,9,12). During the course of the league, the only requirement is that a team must maintain a minimum of three Sparky Anderson Reds on their roster at all times. A Reds player can be released to free agency only if another Red replaces them.
After the three round draft has occurred, these three players will be placed at the end of each team’s Draft Priority list, and regular AutoDraft procedures will be followed.
Stadiums are restricted to those in which Sparky Anderson’s Reds’ teams competed in; all National League stadiums and any American League Stadium in which his teams competed in the World Series.
