defensive ratings question

Postby The Conndor » Mon Jan 17, 2011 2:57 pm

Starting my 1st 90's team tonight, 1st team of any kind in quite awhile. I have Dante Bichette, Brian Giles, Jay Buhner, and Darryl Hamilton for 4 spots (OF and DH). Since Buhner is a 2(-5)e4 in RF and can only play RF, I plan on keeping him there. My question is: how to play the other 3? Right now I have Bichette in LF: he is a def. rating of 4 in LF, vs. a 3 rating in CF or RF, but has a -3 arm. Hamilton is in CF: he is a 2(+2)e2 in LF and CF, but I much prefer to have a 2 rating in CF. Giles is 3(0)e7 in all 3 spots; right now, he is DH-ing because I want Bichette's arm out there, even with a 4 rating in LF. Comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Throwing arm in LF is not as important as in RF or CF. I would consider playing Giles in LF.

I'm sure you'll hear from others who feel differently however.

I would also go with Giles in LF in that scenario.
