Are the 90's back-ups working?

Postby Jimmy_C » Sun Feb 20, 2011 7:09 am

With Lankford injured I had Dykstra designated as his back-up in my line up settings. So does HAL take Dykstra out of the DH role and make him my centerfielder? No way...HAL thought it was a good night for Delgado to learn how to play centerfield!! I can't complain I guess because I ended up sweeping... :D

Just not sure the back-ups are working properly in the 90's game...

HAL won't remove a player in the DH slot under any circumstances.

Sounds like a programming flaw. Mid-game I can understand the DH not moving to a position...it would be against baseball rules. However, if you can't begin a new game with all of your back-ups working, then it should probably be named the "sometimes-back-up system"

I agree. I've had position players catch for a series because my catcher got hurt and my backup C was at DH. It's stupid.
