Pitching on three days rest, any grave consequences?

In this game it says an overused pitcher will be less effective. How is that? How is that determined? I know if you go passed a pitcher's endurance rating they can give up more singles and homeruns but what about pitching on 3 days rest? Even if a pitcher can pitch on three days rest is there a probability of not performing well if you do it too many times in a row or all season and if so how is that determined?

It is an unsolvable problem in this game so don't waste any time on it

I'll take that as "it has no bearing on their performance to pitch on three days rest often". That must be why so many managers go with a four man rotation. Anyways back in the good ole days their were a lot of four man rotations. Back when pitchers weren't pampered. Thanks for the input.
