Durham or Joyner in the Kingdome?

Postby Outta Leftfield » Sat May 13, 2006 12:32 pm

I'm pre-waivers with my first Kingdome team and got Joyner is the autodraft. Durham is avaiable as an FA. Who would you rather have in the K-dome?

You can't go wrong with Wally World but in the Kingdome I think Leon is better suited for that park for sure.

Well, I'll see if I can get Leon, though depending on how waivers turns out in about five minutes, I may or may not keep him. :D

I did get Leon--I could trade him in for Carew but that would mean downgrading Nettles to, say Howells? What do you think? Is it worth getting that extra OBP from Carew to go with Kal Daniels at the top of my lineup?

{Edit: Oops, Carew is now gone...}

Given reasonable years, this team does look like it might score a few runs.... :D

Love that team Outta. Just curious as to why you have Burris instead of getting another .75 RP? You might need more than 4 RP in the Kingdome.

I've had good luck with Burris in the past and figured he might be able to substitute for an SP who can't cut it. If so, that will free up a lot of cash. If not, I can drop him for a cheap RP. Also, I don't have a LH RP because they're all gone (at least the decent ones), and I missed the guy I targeted on waivers. But I'm guessing somebody will drop a good LHRP in the first week so I should be OK. I've actually not spent more than 1.5M on an RP in quite a while, so getting Dave Smith at 2.27M is a bit of a splurge in honor of the K-Dome. We'll see how the BP works. :wink:

I was pleased to get Kal Daniels on waivers. I'm thinking he might make a nifty leadoff man in this park, esp. with a lineup of sluggers behind him? :D
