pass the trash

i was wondering.if a league was started where you had 1 certain pitcher that was continuously passed from team to team after each series(say milt wilcox)
A. would he really get 54 starts
B. could something like that be possible?
just letting my mind wander. i used to play some cards in some hole in the wall bars back in the day and there was a game called pass the trash and it got me thinkin.what if.say you use ol' milt 1 series then trade him to team b for whatever(something compairable salary wise, that CAN,T be refused)and everybody just kept using ol' milt each and every series.
i doubt seriously if anybody would consider doing this but i was just wondering. are there any other wonderers out there?
