If you have proven Phelps is crap, dont use him.

Does it matter at all in the end? Except you may want to rethink your TSN SOM theories when playing me :p

Based on your record, I'm sure you could crush all my theories to dust. :D

[quote:52e329f0b5="YountFan"]And Phelps will be platooned playing vs RHP only. He has been 'battle tested' by two teams already.

Team #1: 18 at bats, no hits and 5 walks. BA/SLG/OBA=.000/.000/.207
Team #2: 29 at bats 7 hits, 1 double, 2 homers and 3 walks BA/SLG/OBA=.241/.483/.313

Lets see what he can do for me.[/quote:52e329f0b5]

YF-

I was team number 1 on your list... although I was the second team to have him. I would have appreciated a hit. I still think he can do okay in that league ... homeruns and walks only however.

Sorry NYC, TSN list the teams in alpha order, so I didn't know.

Phelps went 0-6 with 1 BB, 3 K's and 1 run scored last night. Oh yeah, and I was swept too.

Here is data I got from picking up Phelps a little while ago.

Phelps, K. L 1B 4e24 81 19 2 9 22 14 0 0 .247 .630 .367

He has caused a little turn around in my team. Since I acquired him, we have won fine out of the last six series. Before, I think we won like tow series out of 20, and we were getting swept a lot.

Now I just need to stop the other team from scoring. :(

Which brings up a point. Phelps is a little overpriced for someone who realisticaly can only be a DH vs rightys. He is a 4 defensively. I wonder how many runs are lost to having a 4 at each position over say a 2? Does any one have data on this?
