What park are you in? How about the rest of the division? Post a link to your team. That would help. Just a couple quick thoughts, you are mixing *SP with non *SP. That can be very expensive. Someone has to miss a few starts. Thats a lot of $$$ to not get max use out of. A link to your team might help with more insight.

My first impression of your team is that it has WAY too many LH pitchers. Your entire rotation is LH and you have 2 LH relievers as well. Granted, some of these SPs have the potential to be very good (Higuera, Sid, Carlton), but chances are, not all of them will be very good. Since that's likely the case, you need to keep opponents honest and prevent them from loading up their lineups with cheap lefty-killers (like Ready, Incaviglia, Phillips, Almon, Cedeno, Wockenfuss, etc.). This LH pitching strategy may be ok if you were playing in a park like Detroit, but looking at your hitting (only one true LH hitter), I get the feeling you're not playing in Detroit.

Speaking of your hitting, I would NEVER use Baylor and Carter in the same lineup. You're asking for trouble by combining those two low on-base guys together. I, personally, never use either of those guys unless I have to, but if I had to chose one, I'd go with Carter, since he could at least play the field for you. Also, I'd look to balance out the power a bit. Clark is a good LH power option, but he needs help....and Mazzilli and Doran won't provide much pop from the left side. Cheap LH power options are Aikens, Gamble, Easler and Gross. Depending on which park you play in, those guys are usually good bets.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

go to the 'statistics' page for your league. pass the cursor over your teams name. That is the exact address you need to enter for the URL on the boards. You can see examples of how people have done this in messages below yours. I think the most recent was one that said 'check out this team' or 'thoughts on this team'. The only difference is the id# at the end. That is specific to your team.

Go to the statistics page for your league, put your cursor over your team name, right click and select "copy link location". Then get back over to the boards, and right click and paste that link location into another message here...

I had Easler and he was a flop like Evans. No production.

First off, starting a 3e31 (Russell) at SS is a killer! DeJesus would be preferable defensively, but he's no star either...can't neglect such an important infield position and expect your pitching to flourish...

You are losing out on the value of your two *SPs by not always starting them on three days rest. You can probably bypass Zahn here and there to allow Higuera and Carlton to start more regularly, but still...Vida Blue's not performing so well so far...if that keeps up, maybe you should drop him for a *SP, but you'll still have problems using El Sid properly, together with the *SPs...the value of your all lefty rotation is difficult to gauge without seeing what your divisional opponents look like.

Who is Dh'ing for you? Do you have a platoon? Mazzilli and Baylor maybe?
