I think I am in trouble

I missed out on every power hitter in the draft. Of my 8 starting position players I missed out on 6, leaving me with no true mashers in my lineup.

As it stands my outfield consists of Gwynn, Dykstra, and Ricky.

My lineup as constituted would probably be:
Dykstra
Ricky
Gwynn
Boggs
Fisk
Hernandez
White
Concepcion
P

would it be wise of me to dump Lenny, move Gwynn to CF and add either Barfield or Tartabull to my team (If so which one Tart for the betteer Oomph or Barfield for the D) I like having a ton of High OBP guys here, just wish i had someone to smack the ball a bit (outside of fisk, which is not really a huge power guy in his own right)

dont drop those guys, trade for power.

Power in 80s can come from lots of players dont worry too much about it. I would rather have tons of OBP and speed to work with and you have that so you are not in trouble.

btw, your link wont work because it needs the team userid in it.

Also Rickey could provide your power, most of his years has power so dont lead him off.

You don't necessarily need the power. What park are you playing in? What stadiums are the rest of the teams in your division playing in? What does the rest of your team look like?

Yeah my pitching stinks, I hope to upgrade since I didnt get a lot of my guys and now have a ton of cash sitting around with no hitters to spend it on...

I am in royals stadium, My divison has royals, comisky and dodgers.

This has some great players

Boogs, Gwynn, Rockey, Fisk and Hernandez are GREAT hitters. Dykstra has some awesom years. You'll score runs, unless you get unlucky with a slew of players. I mean, even something like:

Dykstra
Gwynn
Boggs
Henderson (if he's got power)
Fisk
Hernandez
White
Concepcion

...will do. Everybody hits. Dykstra, Rickey and Gwynn steal bases. Imagine if you get Boggs' .368 and Gwynn's .370! Your pitching is a complete gamble, though.

I wouldn't drop Dykstra. He got 66 doubles for me...good enough to get in the record books. Why would you want to get rid of him?

Did I get enough pitching???

I added Gooden, Quisenberry, and Eckersley - was debating wether to move Quis for a SP, didnt know wether it would be a good idea or not...

I would agree that this is potentially an outstanding lineup--especially for Royals Stadium, where the HR is less important. I've gotten a monster year out of Hernandez and Rickey there (including HRs) and Boggs, Gwynn and (in his good years) Dyskstra are all perfect fits. Fisk will lose a bit from his good BPHR power, but he can give protection in the HR parks. (I LOVE Fisk.)

My suggestion for beefing up the SP's is to get rid of one (or both) of your expensive RP's. It doesn't make economic sense to have both Eck and Quiz. One of them should go. You could try trading them to upgrade the starters. If it were me, I'd move both of them and make Willie H my bullpen ace. That would give you $11 to spend on upgrading your SPs. I would keep Cox, among your current crop of cheaper starters, since his good years are really good.
