Live draft...why not?

Postby Jimmy_C » Sat Feb 25, 2006 8:40 am

OK...there is absolutely no strat fix for us while HAL is in the emergency room, so why not do a live draft league? It will give us something to do to take our minds off the current frustrating situation, and it usually takes a week or so before we need the game to be actually working (surely by then this will all be just a bad memory).

It will be a live draft, DH league. Hopefully Penngray will allow us the use of his draft site. I am going to reserve a spot for Penngray out of courtesy. The draft order will be determined by State (or Province) pick 3 lottery, lowest to highest (lowest pick 3 number drafts first...etc). In the event of a tie, the pick 4 will be used as the tie-breaker. This will be a 16 round live draft, with a unique stadium as 1 of the picks.

The divisions will be determined by draft position using the standard:
EAST- 1,4,7,10
CENTRAL- 2,5,8,11
WEST- 3,6,9,12

Sooo....wanna play?

Jimmy,

I'd join, but at this point I am not giving TSN anymore of my money. I want to see some action to resolve the current problem before I try to spend my hard earned cash.

They'll resolve the issue Mike. A week from now it will just be a bad memory, and if they are really customer oriented they will give us each a free game.

A live draft will at least give us a little strat-fix for a while, and it sure beats clicking the refresh button every 30 seconds.

Heck...what else is there to do on a weekend? :D

Welcome aboard Marine!! Yes, Penngray developed a site where you can run a live draft. All of the players and stadiums are loaded, and you select from there. It eliminates the possibility of 2 teams drafting the same player. It also allows for proxy picks in case your turn comes up and your not around a computer. It is really cool...I'm hoping he allows us to use it.

Thanks.

I used his site two years ago during TSN's 2003 season.

Given Penn's recent postings, you may wish to have a back-up plan for his involvement for this outing.

I'd say he has lost that loving feeling for TSN.
